Prof. Yuan HE
Associate Professor at the KoGuan School of Law, Shanghai Jiao Tong University

He Yuan is an Associate Professor at the School of Law, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where he serves as the Executive Director of the Data Law Research Center and Secretary-General of the Artificial Intelligence Governance and Law Research Center. He is a council member of the China Society of Network and Information Law,the China Society of administrative Law and an expert on the Data Elements Committee under the China Information Association. Additionally, he holds leadership roles as Director of the Ethics and Governance Committee at the Shanghai Open Source Association and as a member of the Digital Technology and Artificial Intelligence Business Committee of the Shanghai Bar Association.
He Yuan is also a Research Fellow at the United Nations World Silk Road Forum's Digital Economy Research Institute. His other roles include being a member of the first Shanghai Human Resources Service Standardization Technical Committee, a founding member of the Shanghai Public Data Opening Expert Committee, an expert on the Shanghai Data Governance and Safe Production Development Professional Committee, and an expert member of the "Data Security Committee" of the Jiangsu Big Data Trading and Circulation Engineering Laboratory. Additionally, he was selected for the Shanghai "Pujiang Talent Program". He has provided a variety of compliance services to dozens of listed companies. His primary research interests include artificial intelligence governance and safety, data privacy and cybersecurity, digital transformation, and national security law.
