Prof. Frederik ANSEEL

He is a senior academic leader with over 15 years of management experience in globally leading business schools and social science faculties of higher education institutions in the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, and Asia. His key expertise lies in designing cross-disciplinary collaborations and partnerships with the industry to solve societal challenges. 
Before joining HKUST, Prof. Anseel served as Dean of the University of New South Wales Business School. Under his leadership, the school was ranked the number one business school in Australia for three consecutive years and achieved continuous top-ten rankings in the Financial Times for its Online MBA. His prior global leadership roles include Vice Dean at King’s College London in the UK, Head of Department and Talent Management Advisor to the Rector at Ghent University in Belgium, and Visiting Professor positions at École Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC) Business School in France and Bocconi University in Italy.Prof. Anseel holds a PhD in Organizational Psychology from Ghent University, Belgium.
