Prof. Eric Porras

Eric Porras holds a Ph.D. in Operations Research and Logistics and a Master’s degree in Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and a degree in Mechanical-Electrical Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He has built an academic and professional career at the intersection of business education, innovation, and industry, with extensive experience in international collaboration and executive education.
Eric Porras is Director of the W. P. Carey–EGADE Executive MBA Program at EGADE Business School, Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he has played a key role in advancing graduate business education and strengthening its international orientation. Previously, he served as National Director of MBA Programs and as Research Director at the Mexico Logistics and Trade Innovation Center, a joint initiative between Tecnológico de Monterrey and Georgia Tech. His work combines academic leadership with industry engagement, consulting, and international business development, and he regularly participates as a speaker and panelist in international forums addressing the future of business, talent, innovation, and education.
