Plenary Session: AI and Future of Business Artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a critical area of interest in the business world, with experts predicting that it will significantly influence the future of business. The transformational impact of AI on the operational and competitive landscape of businesses through cost reduction, efficiency enhancement, and accuracy improvement has been widely acknowledged. Moreover, AI algorithms are enabling companies to provide personalized offerings to customers by analyzing their data and behaviour. However, this development raises ethical concerns that demand attention. As business educators, it is our responsibility to prepare students for a future in which AI will play a prominent role. This task involves designing new programs and courses that emphasize AI and related technologies, as well as equipping students with critical thinking and problem-solving skills that will be essential in an AI-driven workplace. Overall, AI is poised to revolutionize the way businesses operate in the future. Session A (Parallel): AI Transforming Business Education AI is transforming today’s businesses. This transformation will only accelerate over time and the business world needs agile problem-solvers to manage these global transformations. Technology literacy will be essential for future business leaders to survive. Business educators, too, must motivate learners to embrace new technologies and understand how they will be applied in future enterprises. Today’s business students must understand and successfully collaborate with AI in their future professional roles. In this session, we will discuss some examples of the AI use cases and what has been successful and what has not. |
